Anyone using Lantus insulin?What were your results and blood sugar control?

I also used it before I went on my insulin pump. It worked well for me and helped keep my basal rate normal.

    i have used it before. i went off it because i went on the pump. i thought it did a good job with controlling the sugar. the only bad thing i can remember about it is that it hurt when i injected it into my leg. i got a burning pain in that spot and it kept hurting unless i was using the muscles in my leg. so that meant i had to be moving for at least an hour after i took it. don’t get alarmed by this though. its affect changes from person to person so it probably won’t happen to you. i was just trying to get the point across that it was a good insulin to be on. in the time i had been using Lantus, my A1C was in the 6-6.5 range. i have always been a good diabetic. this insulin just helped me along the way to keep everything at the rate it was going.

    it keeps my blood sugar stable depending on the amount i take if im high say 450 ill take atleast 4 units to bring it down and have a snack after so i dont go low then about hours later its probaly 110 to 180

    I was using it for a few yrs. But, Iam a very brittle diabetic(400+ every day) They finally started me on Levimer and thank god it has lowered my sugars better then lantus. If you are still having problems talk to your Dr. about Levimer
