Yes, yes, yes. It can be controled but not cured. If you start a low Glycemic Diet and exercise you may stave off meds for many years.
http://www.mendosa.com/gilists.htm
This table includes the glycemic index and glycemic load of more than 2,480 individual food items. Not all of them, however, are available in the United States. They represent a true international effort of testing around the world.
The glycemic index (GI) is a numerical system of measuring how much of a rise in circulating blood sugar a carbohydrate triggers–the higher the number, the greater the blood sugar response. So a low GI food will cause a small rise, while a high GI food will trigger a dramatic spike. A list of carbohydrates with their glycemic values is shown below. A GI is 70 or more is high, a GI of 56 to 69 inclusive is medium, and a GI of 55 or less is low.
The glycemic load (GL) is a relatively new way to assess the impact of carbohydrate consumption that takes the glycemic index into account, but gives a fuller picture than does glycemic index alone. A GI value tells you only how rapidly a particular carbohydrate turns into sugar. It doesn’t tell you how much of that carbohydrate is in a serving of a particular food. You need to know both things to understand a food’s effect on blood sugar. That is where glycemic load comes in. The carbohydrate in watermelon, for example, has a high GI. But there isn’t a lot of it, so watermelon’s glycemic load is relatively low. A GL of 20 or more is high, a GL of 11 to 19 inclusive is medium, and a GL of 10 or less is low.
Foods that have a low GL almost always have a low GI. Foods with an intermediate or high GL range from very low to very high GI.
Both GI and GL are listed here. The GI is of foods based on the glucose index–where glucose is set to equal 100. The other is the glycemic load, which is the glycemic index divided by 100 multiplied by its available carbohydrate content (i.e. carbohydrates minus fiber) in grams. (The "Serve size (g)" column is the serving size in grams for calculating the glycemic load; for simplicity of presentation I have left out an intermediate column that shows the available carbohydrates in the stated serving sizes.) Take, watermelon as an example of calculating glycemic load. Its glycemic index is pretty high, about 72. According to the calculations by the people at the University of Sydney’s Human Nutrition Unit, in a serving of 120 grams it has 6 grams of available carbohydrate per serving, so its glycemic load is pretty low, 72/100*6=4.32, rounded to 4.
For exercise , Nordic walking will do the trick . I do it everyday . Description
Nordic walking can be done year round in any climate and anywhere a person of any age or ability might otherwise walk without poles. It combines simplicity and accessibility of walking with simultaneous core and upper body conditioning similar to Nordic skiing. The result is a full-body walking workout that can burn significantly more calories without a change in perceived exertion or having to walk faster, due to the incorporation of many large core, and other upper-body muscles which comprise more than 90% of the body’s total muscle mass and do work against resistance with each stride. ‘Normal walking’ utilizes less than 70% of muscle mass with full impact on the joints of the legs and feet.
Nordic Ski Walking produces up to a 46% increase in energy consumption compared to walking without poles.[1]
Benefits
Compared to regular walking, Nordic walking involves applying force to the poles with each stride. Nordic walkers use more of their entire body (with greater intensity) and receive fitness building stimulation not as present in normal walking for the chest, lats, triceps, biceps, shoulder, abdominals, spinal and other core muscles. This extra muscle involvement leads to enhancements over ordinary walking at equal paces such as:
increased overall strength and endurance in the core muscles and the entire upper body
significant increases in heart rate at a given pace
greater ease in climbing hills
burning more calories than in plain walking
improved balance and stability with use of the poles
significant un-weighting of hip, knee and ankle joints
effective weight bearing exercise – creates positive total body bone density-preserving stress
I use plain old wooden sticks, works well>
Kewl!
Do this and you will be amazed at the results. I have no more room to go on But GOOD LUCK

the so called "type 3 diabetes refers to lower than normal levels of newly discovered brain insulin, which appears to be associated with alzheimers disease in some way .
I pulled this off the internet, yes I know it seems a little lame to cut and paste. However, I have never heard of these conditions before. Please see the cut and paste below…maybe this can answer some questions for you!
As for the other persons answer "get your facts straight"; I would like to comment on that. I think that was completely uneccessary to attack someone in a verbal manner such as you did. She was asking a questions, have a little more manners and try to make this and enjoyable visit for the YA! community.
Other "Types" of Diabetes
——————————————————————————–
You may encounter some other "type" names to describe some less common forms of diabetes. Although the American Diabetes Association does not use or endorse these terms, they are defined here because you may run across them in other sources of information.
Latent Autoimmune Diabetes of Adults, or LADA, is sometimes referred to as "type 1.5 diabetes." LADA is similar to type 1 diabetes because it involves an autoimmune destruction of the insulin-producing cells in the pancreas. It usually begins in adulthood and progresses more slowly than type 1 diabetes, but people with LADA do eventually require insulin.
"Type 3 diabetes" has recently been used to describe a defect in insulin levels in the brain that may be linked to Alzheimer’s disease. Type 3 diabetes has also been used to describe the fact that some people with type 1 diabetes become insulin resistant over time, which is usually associated with type 2 diabetes. These patients may benefit from adding an oral medication that improves insulin sensitivity to their regular insulin treatment.
Because these are no standard definitions for these terms, they are sometimes used to describe other conditions. Some people have also used "type 3 diabetes" to describe someone with type 1 diabetes who also shows signs of increased insulin resistance, which is the hallmark of type 2 diabetes. Others have also called this "double diabetes." Some physicians believe that these patients may benefit from insulin-sensitizing drugs, which usually are not given to patients with type 1 diabetes.

Throughout the world, the use of modern medicine is decreasing as people are now looking for a more natural way to get healthy. People have especially turned to the use of reflexology, yoga and herbal medications amongst the other remedies.
Lisa Medical Center is one of the most famous places for herbal medication in India. They supply people with 100% natural pills made out of a variety of herbs. They sell pills and ointments for most of the diseases known to man, including blood pressure, diabetes, arthritis, leprosy as well as obesity.
The best thing about this center is that each patient is observed by well trained doctors. Before these doctors prescribe any sorts of medication to patients, they make sure that the patient receives a full body check-up and that he informs them about your medical history. If the patient had been taking other medications, they will suggest that he takes the previous medication together with the herbal medication until his health status is
stable.
Probably the greatest advantage of Lisa pills is that they have helped cure many diseases that would have otherwise been incurable. According to modern medicine, people with certain types of disease need to keep on taking medication for the rest of their lives. In addition to being expensive, these modern medicines have side-effects that eventually lead to serious problems such as liver failure.
In conclusion, natural remedies are the best and most efficient ways to treat and cure most diseases. In emergency cases though, the use of modern medicine is extremely helpful.
please tell me if i have punctuation mistakes, if it is boring of if there is any way i can make it better and if i am repeating words too many times
THANKS AND GOD BLESS U ALL!!!
Sounds pretty good to me. While you are at it though, you might want to check out this website: herbdoc.com and navigate both sides of the site. If and I stress IF, you really enjoy the uses of herbs and herbal products, in the United States the man who set this site up is probably one of, if not the leading herbalists anywhere. Check out his bio while you are at it. I use this site for everything. I do not trust doctors or pharmaceutical companies to tell the truth about anything. Enjoy.

Kevin is a journalist, a medical researcher, and a bit of a renegade. He has published 3 books that adress cures for a myriad of diseases: Cancer, Herpes, Diabetes, etc, but none of the methods in his books for curing any of those diseases require the use of drugs, radiation therapy, or surgery. What’s more interesting is the fact that none of his works have ever been debunked by the medical establishment. Drug Companies, on the other hand, are furious with him. Several have tried to sue him, many have refused to publish any of his books, and some have even tried to bar him speaking on net works, like FOX news, that are sponsored by drug companies
The reason?
Drug companies are not in the business of making people healthy, they are in the business of selling DRUGS (legal ones ofcourse), hence the reason they are called DRUG companies. ANYWAY. He has made the argument several times that Drug companies INTENTIONALLY fabricate diseases and push products that are not necessary to keep people healhty. They are also in bed in many politicians and are an extremely powerful lobby group that effectively character assasinates any doctor, or organization that comes up with a cure for any disease that doesn’t require the use of drugs
The people with power in America have gotten addicted to it, and have shown no sign of wanting to part with it. Tylenol is the leading cause of liver problems in the U.S.–that is a fact most Americans don’t know about , because that sort of info isn’t published
Most of these cures are totally worthless. Let’s see him take a bunch of terminally ill cancer patients and get them to stay alive or better yet be "cured." It won’t happen. I’m sure his methods have been debunked simply by them not working. If there was actually a cure for these horrible diseases that kills people from all facets of life including doctors and those people running the drug companies and all the politicians, nothing would be able to stop these miracle cures from the world no matter how much anyone or any company or any group wanted to silence this miraculous find. Word of mouth is a powerful thing and everyone would be running to get the miracle for themselves and their own families.
Tylenol is not the leading cause of liver problems. I had a liver transplant and have talked with hundreds of people waiting on transplants or have already gotten one. Out of all the people I talked to, not one of them had a transplant because of Tylenol. If this was such a huge problem, don’t you think that just maybe one or two of them would have had their transplant due to Tylenol. The number one reason for liver transplants is hep C. The number 2 position goes to alcohol abuse. I have never seen Tylenol abuse even make the list.
You are wrong and misinformed. Go ahead and go with your natural cure guy when you get sick. This is America and you are free to go with him and take his cures and advice. I’m sticking with my medical doctors. They have done a great job of keeping me alive when my liver failure almost killed me. I would love to see what natural guy would have done with a liver destroyed 90% with cirrhosis like mine was. He’d probably tell me to take some Milk Thistle or some of those other miracle cures offered everywhere. I’ll take my chances with my transplant surgeons. You take the Milk Thistle and see what happens.
Your guy is a quack. He’s just trying to make a buck like those big drug companies are. Problem is that there are a lot of good drugs that work like my antirejection drugs that keep me from rejecting my transplanted liver. Your guy has nothing much at all to back up his claims. Let him stand all the people that had terminal cancer that he has cured with his methods in a row and see how long the row goes. Don’t think anyone will be fighting to get in that line.

Whether cinnamon can lower blood sugar is a topic of debate — but most research suggests that cinnamon is not an effective treatment for type 1 or type 2 diabetes.
In one preliminary 2006 study, cinnamon extract seemed to lower blood sugar in people who have type 2 diabetes. However, other studies have not confirmed these results. Likewise, cinnamon does not appear to improve hemoglobin A1C levels, a reflection of average blood sugar level for the past 2-3 months, or cholesterol levels. At this point, it seems unlikely that cinnamon could play any role in diabetes treatment.
If you have diabetes, remember that treatment is a lifelong commitment of blood sugar monitoring, healthy eating, regular exercise &, sometimes, diabetes medications or insulin therapy. Consult your doctor if you have questions or concerns about your diabetes treatment plan.

Type 2 diabetes is the most common form of diabetes. In type 2 diabetes, either the body does not produce enough insulin or the cells ignore the insulin.
Usually occurs gradually. Most people with type 2 diabetes are overweight at the time of diagnosis. However, the disease can also develop in lean people, especially the elderly.
Genetics play a large role in type 2 diabetes and family history is a risk factor. However, low activity level, poor diet, and excess body weight (especially around the waist) significantly increase your risk for type 2 diabetes.
Other risk factors include:
- Race/ethnicity (African-Americans, Hispanic-Americans, and Native Americans all have high rates of diabetes)
- Age greater than 45 years
- Previously identified impaired glucose tolerance by your doctor
- High blood pressure
- HDL cholesterol of less than 35 or triglyceride level of greater than 250
- History of gestational diabetes

Neither of us want anything more than a natural approach. No Drug therapy, or shots, no props. I want to hear from anyone out there who has used Horny Goat Weed along with naming any other herbs or massages to get back circulation from possible damaged nerves from the compression the bicycle seats can cause for a good percent of serious cyclers. This is harder on him because I wish him to go to the doctor at least once ot rule out any serious or underlying diabetes or cardiovascular problems, before we explore herbal remedies.
He dreads devulging and discussing this with a doctor or anyone. It was even hard for him to listen or talk with me. I have told him I adore him, and have made up my mind I want him no matter. Since he never addressed it, and noticed some difficulty in the last 9 years, are there any cyclers out there that know or have heard of this condition and does the feeling and circulation come back. I read about the perineum being damaged. Anyone with experience plz help?
Horney Goat Weed is great, but he may want to try something like Prosta Power or another herbal medicine to help neurologically; Horney Goat Weed is more of an aphrodesiac. There are also Viagra type natural herbs available too. Check out links below
