can type 1 diabetes ever go away?
is there any possibility that type 1 diabetes can ever be cured…or any possibility that the patient can stop taking insulin and take tablets … pleeez help me … i really need help for this… pleez
No, it can only be managed. Talk to the doctor about treatments, there may be some way to avoid shots.
And who knows what they’ll discover or invent in the future? They may even find a cure!

Not at this point in time. No. Even Type 2 doesn’t go away. It just gets controlled.

Nope, sorry. There might be hope of getting islet cell transplants down the road, but they still have a lot of things to work out. They work for a while in some people but then they poop out again. You need to plan to have Type 1 for the rest of your life and live accordingly. A cure has been "right around the corner" the whole time I’ve had it, but here we are.

Diabetes, type 1 or 2, cannot be cured and never goes away. But it can be controlled, through either insulin (or appropriate medication) , plus a good diet (good food versus junk food, fruits and veggies etc…and exercise.

Possibly some day with a pancreas transplant.Or beta cells. But until then , NO WAY>
