Muslims, if pigs are unclean, than why did "Allah" put a cure for diabetes in them?!?
"Pigs from a remote group of islands could hold the key to treating diabetes, doctors believe." – Daily Telegraph, Experimental diabetes treatment will inject humans with pig cells.
"A company trialling an effective cure for type 1 diabetes has provided a clear safety and tolerance review. The company, based in New Zealand, has found a way to transplant functional pig cells that produce insulin into humans." – Diabetes.co.uk, Pig cells and potential diabetes cure found to be safe for humans.
Muslims, pigs (which you regard as being ‘unclean’) hold a key to cure diabetes according to latest medical research, so why did Allah and Muhammad prohibit pigs for consumption and even medical use (I’ll discuss that below) despite Southern-Asians and Mid-easterns – which many are Muslims -are more exposed to Diabetes compared to people of the west? Surely, the Qu’ran promoting the use of medicines and a God who sees the future would of put this cure in a clean animal such as a lamb or cow than ofcourse a un-clean animal like a pig?
I also read something similar regarding this on a Islamic website and they said it’s still un-permissible to use "haram" stuff in medications. According to one of many quotes from the Hadith they’ve put, Muhammad said, "seek medication, O servants of Allah, for Allah never created an illness without creating a cure for it" and "Allah does not put your cure in that which He has forbidden for you." Again, that raises a question what’s begging an answer if you regard this issue.
So Muslims, how’d you respond to this and what do you think of it O.o?!

Um Huda – can’t you see the point in my question? I’m not talking about the consumption of pork; I’m talking about the diabetes cure that has been found in pigs. On what you’re saying, however, I think the consumption of pork taken in moderation is perfectly safe. If there was a hazard because of the consumption of pork, I’m sure there would of had a health hazard regarding pork by now in England since it’s a popular food over here.

I know that it’s still in the process but Medical Scientists and Doctors have been doing this research on pigs for almost a decade (fact!), so their must be something to it since it’s been going on for that long which is acceptable to put into consideration; plus, you being the son of a doctor and a intelligent teen, I’m sure you know that Insulin that’s used for treating people with type 1 diabetes is the one that comes from pigs.

Because you get diabetes from eating to much sugar and letting your self go. Pigs want you to eat more sugar and spend all your money on corporate food so they have a cure. By the way it isnt proven that pigs can cure diabetes fully. Wait till test results come in.

Actually, if you read your first quote it does say "Could".
As far as I’m concerned it still a theory.
And besides, we said its unclean because pigs are decomposer therefore making them unclean.
Because they constantly eat poop.
Why would I eat an animal that eats POOP!.

Speaking as a secular (non-religious) person:
Pork spoils easily.
It is difficult to preserve it safely without proper refrigeration. In Biblical times people often became ill or even died after consuming pork.
Over the centuries both Jews and Mohammedans began to view the consumption of pigs as taboo and forbidden. From the perspective of health, they were actually wise to avoid eating it until refrigeration was invented and became wide-spread.

The harms;

And the cholesterol, which results from pork’s analysis in the body appear in the blood in the form of semi-cholesterol pleomorphic which led to arise in the blood pressure a lot and arteriosclerosis and they are from the dangerous factors that introduced filling of the heart muscle, and professor Roff found that cholesterol that are found in the cancer rover cell are like the cholesterol which are found when eating the pork
The pork is rich with the compounds that contains a high rate of sulfur and all affect the tissues absorption ability to the water as sponge that take the shape of vast bag and this led to the deposition of the mucous substance in sinews, ligaments, cartilages between vertebrae and to degeneration in the bones
And the tissues that contains sulfur are damaged by rotten producing a spread bad odor and caused hydrogen sulphate gas and it was noticed that the containers that contains the pork although it is perfectly closed it’s odor spreads from the room after few days as a result of it’s bad rotten odor and it’s unsustainable odor
Contrastly, other types of meat was passed by the same experiment and it was found that the rotten of beef is more slower than the pork and this rotten odor doesn’t spread from it. The pork contains a high ratio of growth hormone which has a great effect on the infection (material’s ends), also it has an effect on the stomach growth (The potbelly) and increase the growth rate especially the designed for growth and cancer development
According to professor Roff studies these fatty meals that contain pork consider essential in cell’s cancer turning as it contains the growth hormone and it has a great effect in rising blood cholesterol
Diseases transported by pork:
Islam forbids pork and Muslims apply it obeying to the order of Allah without argument in the causes of this forbidden but modern scientists reached to this astonished results in this field.
It’s amazing that pig is rich pasture for more than 450 epidemic diseases and it is playing the role of intermediary to transform 57 diseases to man, in addition to these diseases that are caused from eating pork as dyspepsia, the atherosclerosis and many others.
The pig itself is responsible alone to transform 27 epidemic diseases to human and some other animals participate it in other diseases but it stills the store and the main source of these diseases as: The liar hydrophobia, Wile disease, Japanese fever, Malta fever, Scrofula, Meningitis, krip epidemics, The pig’s flu & others.

I understand your question quite well; I made a point that there are diabetics who do have cells of pigs alive and multiplying in them. Thus meaning that the DNA of the pigs are so close to ours that it’s just wrong and sick to eat them (and then I gave points and sources of the harms of consuming it).
But all that aside, our DNA, the pigs’ DNA, and the DNA of chimps are all so close….

Interesting fact that the pig is the only animal that cannot look up at the sky…it has no neck.
How can an animal with no neck be slaughtered properly? This means it must be hit on the head til it’s dead or electricuted. Thust the blood doesn’t drain out properly and rather soaks in the muscles that people end up eating. Making it even more unhealthy. Blood is not fit for eating…\

Well if doctor say that they "believe" or "think"something its not a fact!
Its their opinion , and the word "could"in this sentence suggest that there might be a possibility, but their not 100% sure… But as i said earlier Allah brings cure to everything except death…. So their might be Alternative for Muslims and Others who don’t eat pork!
