I’ve found that blood sugar control becomes easier with weight loss, healthy diet, and plenty of daily exercise. The better I do at those, the less medication I need. I’ve actually gone several days without medication just by diligent application of the above.

If someone has diabetes is it because their blood sugar is too high or too low? I’m having some symptoms, to get tested, am I supposed to fast for 12 hours and then go and see my doctor?
It is because there blood sugars are too high. Your symptoms of being a diabetic would be increased thirst, increased urination, weight loss and a fruity smelling breath. If your going to get tested to see if you are or not you do not have to do anything especially fasting because it isn’t going to matter either way. The doctor will do a simple blood test and probably a urine culture to see if you are diabetic or not.

Exercise is the best substitute for Metformin.Metformin increases the insulin(already existing in your body)to go into cells .Metformin does not stimulate production of insulin.Exercise also facilitates insulin transmission into cells.Exercise is good for the body in several other ways.Even if you do not lose weight, exercise improves insulin utilisation.Advice to all diabetics–Try diet and exercise first.Drugs only if diet and exercise fail.

high blood sugar
I posted about this earlier, I was just discharged from a hospital with blood sugar of 242. I was never diagnosed Diabetic. Well I am home now and I live alone with no meters, nothing.
What should I do? What can I eat or am I screwed? Thanks.
Of course you can eat.
I am diagnosed with Insulin Resistance, which is Pre- Type II Diabetes.
I was told by my doctor not to eat any food with sugar or high in carbohydrates.
It sounds hard,
but believe me, once you get used to it, its not that hard.
Took me a week, Although the carb part is a little more difficult.
Dont drink regular pop, or lattes or coffee with sugar in it.
Read alllll food lables before consuming anything.
If youre going to have something with sugar in it, atleast stay within the 10mg range. No higher than that.
As for carbs, it does turn into sugar. So eat with caution. Use serving sizes.
And try consulting a doctor.
Ask them if you should be on something.
If they dont say much or tell you anything direct;
Get a new doctor.

blood sugar control
No!
Mainly because Wine has a lot of sugar in it. Diabetics should not even drink it. I mean they can, if they want, but they shouldn’t take in so much at a time or on a daily basis, or their BSL WILL spike!
