Usually a fever blister will pop up a day after your stomach aches for food. Other words, if one day you get that "overly" hunger sensation in your stomach "not the normal feed me" but the "hey, I need food now". A fever blister will pop up due to the acids in your stomach. To prevent this, simply eat something when you feel this way. Something light, crackers toast, etc…
