remember god said help his children

My doctor recommended this as a way to lower blood sugar levels, and it works: take a teaspoon of CINNAMON a day! Cinnamon is a natural way to lower blood sugar, and it works!

Warning: do NOT mix your cinnamon with SUGAR! Also drink plenty of cold water, cut out soda and juices COMPLETELY, and start drinking unsweetened iced tea!

I’m 39, I have Type II diabetes, I take Glyburide, and my blood sugar is now typically in the 110′s to 120′s. It would be lower, but I’ve gained 45 pounds since an accident almost 2 years ago.

Take ALL sugar out of your diet, especially those sugar substitutes!!! Do some research on them, and you will see that they likely make diabetic problems worse. When I say take all sugar out, it means you need to read ingredients. There is sugars in everything these days, ketchup, soups, bread…everything. If you are going to keep some sugars, i would suggest natural sugars like concentrated fruit sugars, but do not over do it. Try honey as a sweetner, in moderation, honey is good and very healthy. That is what i usually use.

The other thing is carbohydrates turn into sugars. Try to stay away from too many of those too. Snack on fruits instead of crackers. The worst kind would be white flour, also called "wheat flour" or "enriched wheat flour." The whiter the bread, the quicker your dead! Stick to grains that your body has to work a little harder at to digest, giving it time to digest properly.

Carbohydrates would include things like pasta, bread, cereal (often coated with sugars anyway), potatos, potato chips, …of course these are okay to eat some of, but choose whole grains when you can, and do not over eat.

On a general heath note: eat more wild fishes like sardines and salmon (about three servings a WEEK), reduce the amount of red meat you eat (a couple servings a week should be enough…as long as you are eating other meats and beans instead). Eat a lot of dark greens. Use extra virgin olive oil instead of any other kind. My husband and I started eating like this (he more than i), and he lost more weight then i knew what possible(we really were not trying for him to loose weight, it just happened! while your at it, us organic products as much as you can. and do not drink soda pop! that stuff is bad all around.

remember: stay away from sugar and sugar substitutes (no diet drinks! no diet snacks!), reduce carbohydrates intake, and eat more fresh veggies.

hey, you’re a bible believer! i just noticed this now…there is a book out there about eating the way they did in the bible, about the Levitical food laws..if i find the name of the book, i will add it to my answer…this book is what you really should read.
sorry, i cannot find what the book is called :( maybe try a christian book store? it has recipes for things like Ezekiel bread

I was told of a customer who had diabetes who would take one or two cinnamon capsules each time he ate, depending on what he ate.

His sugar was normal all the time.

Cinnamon has the advantage of not letting the blood sugar get too low, too.

Also, according to Dr. William Wong, N.D., PhD, large doses of Vitalzym have been known to eliminate diabetes.

    The best to you.

Try cutting out most of the dairy. Believe it or not – besides all kinds of hormones and synthetic drugs from the dairy cows, dairy has been linked to a number of different health problems including diabetes. No definitive studies so far, but its worth a chance (we can live without dairy). You need to take good calcium/magnesium supplements if you do this.

Ginseng tea can lower blood sugar levels (I don’t have to mention not to add sugar, right?) but don’t take it if you have high blood pressure.

A good multi-vitamin/mineral supplement will help your body strengthen itself (including the pancreas). Find one that doesn’t contain cysteine (it can break down hormonal insulin).
Not too much Vitamin C or Vitamin B1 – they can interfere with naturally-produced insulin).
Garlic and soybeans can also help regulate blood sugar.

Lots of raw fruits and vegetables, little or no simple starches (like pasta).
No junk food (pizza, burgers, fries, etc.).
For snacks, try oat or rice bran crackers with nut butter (no sugar added). Legumes, root vegetables and whole grains are also good, also eggs,

Salt, white flour, and fish oil supplements high in PABA can elevate blood sugar.

Go with vegetable sources for protein (fish and poultry if necessary) – red meat can elevate blood sugar.

I hope this helps – as with any advice you get from anyone (including a doctor) you need to evaluate it to see if it makes sense to you. Drastic changes in your lifestyle could cause other problems.
Take a few of these ideas that you think are worth trying right away, and see how they work for you – listen to what your body tells you when you try something new.
If you try something and you feel okay (or hopefully better), try something else and see how that goes.

Diet changes are the easiest to do (and sometimes the hardest as well if we have to give up something we love), and can be the quickest result – but diet changes can cause digestion changes (such as constipation or diarrhea) that while temporary may not be pleasant.

And if it helps, I will add you to my prayers tonight. I don’t need your name, He knows who you are.

I heard that Chromium might help maintain your blood sugar level. Sometimes diabetes can be caused by a deficiency of Chromium. You should look into it.

I know several remedies that will help you. First I would advise you to cook in Virgin Coconut Oil. I can’t go into all the explanations as to why – take too long. But it’s extremely healthy for diabetics. Read the research from these sites:

    http://www.coconutoil. com
    http://www.coconut-connections.com/
    http://www.westonaprice.org/knowyourfats/coconut_oil.html

Secondly – drink coconut juice. For the why – see these sites:

Thirdly – because you have so much sugar in your blood – your body is very acid. Normally, your body should be at a pH of about 7.4(slightly alkaline). Your body always works to maintain this pH level. But if your body is always fighting to maintain this(because of your continually high acid sugar levels), then this will leave your body continually highly stressed and weak – allowing all sorts of illness and disease to occur. Check out this site for simple, cheap and free alkalizing remedies:

I am 57 and I take all the above remedies regularly. I’ve never felt so well, I sleep like a baby and I haven’t been ill for over a year now. It really does work.

I’m 44, too. Yes, you have to make life style changes and supplement.

You need to cover what is missing in our modern diets due to modern farming practices and you have to exercise and stay away from refined foods, like white flower products that claim to be fat free.

You are not giving up taste to eat right, there are all kinds of foods that taste wonderful that will fill you up and not raise blood sugar.

Have a glass of warm water +1/2 fresh lemon juice(if you don’t have acidity) early in the morning.
If you like go for walking (if time permits).
Now your bowels will clear if they don’t before.
Do little exercise. YOG will be the best.
If you are overweight try to live with sprouts and salads without any fear till your weight comes down. Sprout quantity should be less to avoid gases in the beginning and slowly increase from 25 gms at each intake.
Sprouts provide all vitamins and the best proteins with low carbs.
Salads provide all minerals, some vitamins and lot fibres.
Now your bowels will be very clear and you will feel fresh.
Drink water in such a way that urine is pale yellow, less will increase heat and toxicity in the body; more may reduce the appetite.
If you are not overweight you should have normal meals with little curtailment for addition of 10 gms sprouts and 25 – 50 gms salads with meals.
You should avoid starch and sugars.
You can have tea without sugar but better to avoid. My principle is to use minimum things and observe the change so that you can get conclusion. Many things increase confusion.

Pl purchase a strong round magnet.
Put South pole of magnet on your stomach for 20 mins once or twice empty stomach /day. South pole magnetic field will repair and activate the pancreas cells and produce insulin.

If there is blockage in the flow of Vital Energy you will have to follow acupuncture or YOG. Pl see which is possible.
Meditation is the best part of YOG. Only Meditation can also cure you. Pl try.
    Best Luck.

Many are able to control blood pressure just by eliminating the stress factors they have in their life. This can be learned and done mentally. Is just a reversal of what allows the stress to enter in the first place.

The high blood sugar level may be entirely due to your inability to change the dietary, as was originally suggested.
